VSF Starbucks: My Sample Weight, Clasp and Bezel Check

I record a VSF Starbucks at 157.78 g with its bracelet, inspect the clasp and explain why the ten-click footage is a bezel check, not a Glidelock test.

Detailed review

My Starbucks sample check

In this review, I inspect a green-bezel, black-dial Submariner Date with an Oyster-style bracelet, identified in my recording as VSF. The useful additions are a 157.78 g scale display for the watch with its fitted bracelet, an inside-clasp inspection, and a bezel sequence whose English caption needs correcting. These details give a more useful record of this sample than another general factory ranking.

If you are checking a similar Starbucks configuration, message me through the WhatsApp button on this page. I can help you compare your scale setup, clasp view and bezel operation with what I actually show here.

What this sample establishes

- Configuration: green bezel, black dial, date with Cyclops and three-piece Oyster-style links, corresponding to the 126610LV Starbucks design. I do not authenticate a reference engraving or measure the case diameter here.
- Weight: the scale displays 157.78 g at 4:02 with the watch and fitted bracelet on its platform. The subtitle says 157 grams; the visible display is the more precise record.
- Clasp: I open it and describe its feedback, then call the marking 1QY. That is my spoken reading; the small reflective engraving is not independently clear enough to treat every character as verified.
- Movement and version: I identify Dandong 3235 / DD3235 and use V4 in the narration. The caseback stays closed, and no documented batch history accompanies either attribution.

The Submariner Date 126610LV reference page provides the design context. Rolex's 126610LV description confirms the genuine model's green-bezel, black-dial and Oyster configuration; its material and performance specifications are not test results for my replica sample. My translated “Mark III” wording should not be read as an authenticated bezel revision. The internal file number also establishes no factory version.

Reading the 157.78 g measurement properly

At 3:44 I introduce the weighing check. The scale is visible at zero before placement; at 4:02, with my hands clear, it reads 157.78 g. This is the watch with the bracelet fitted in the recording, not the bare watch head.

I have not documented the link count, a standardized bracelet length, removal of all protective film, or verification with a calibration mass. The display has two decimal places, but that does not establish measurement accuracy to 0.01 g. Treat this as one recorded sample reading, not an acceptance threshold for every VSF Starbucks.

When comparing another example, I would first match what is being weighed: head and bracelet together, bracelet length, attached film, and whether the entire assembly is supported only by the scale. Weight alone cannot establish the steel grade, movement maker or factory origin.

The clasp view and the misleading Glidelock caption

At 2:48–3:05, I handle the clasp and show its inside surface. My positive description of its crisp action is a tactile assessment from this inspection, not a retention-force or durability test. I read the marking as 1QY, but I would ask for a sharper, glare-free close-up before relying on the transcription.

At 3:06–3:23, the English caption says “Glidelock extension mechanism” while I count ten clicks. The footage actually shows my fingers turning the bezel on the dial side. It does not show the bracelet extension moving through ten adjustment positions. I therefore record it as a bezel-handling sequence and do not use it to claim a Glidelock range, number of adjustment stops or successful extension-lock test.

The same distinction matters for the bezel itself: counting a short sequence does not establish every detent around a full revolution. I discuss this more fully in my Submariner bezel-click and quickset check. This green-bezel recording adds another configuration-specific observation, not evidence of a different mechanism or a factory-wide improvement.

A RepTime discussion about a VSF 124060 clasp describes an extension that would not stay locked, with different experiences attached to clasp codes. That is an owner discussion about another model, not evidence of a defect in this watch. The useful inspection question is whether the actual extension engages and holds securely; a code or a brief opening-and-closing clip cannot answer it alone.

What the exterior and crown sequence can tell me

The close-ups show the black dial, luminous hour markers, hand stack, magnified date and brushed bracelet surfaces. I praise the hands and raised-looking print in the narration, but this is a visual assessment through the crystal. My descriptions of sapphire, blue anti-reflective coating and 904L steel are not supported here by material testing. Natural-light filming also does not make this a calibrated record of bezel colour.

At 4:13–4:39, I operate the crown through winding, date-setting and time-setting positions before closing it. The changing date display supports a quickset demonstration. It does not test the automatic midnight change, running accuracy, reserve or long-term reliability. Screwing the crown down is likewise not a pressure-test result.

For the Dandong 3235 movement, my identification remains an author attribution in this closed-case review. Neither the weight nor the setting behaviour independently authenticates the manufacturer. The V4 wording also lacks an itemized change list; I do not infer a production sequence from it or from the labels in my earlier VSF versus Clean Submariner comparison.

Strengths

Green-bezel configuration record,157.78g watch-and-bracelet display and a direct correction of caption wording against actual action.

What to watch for

No standardized bracelet length, calibration mass, clear independent clasp-code reading, extension retention test, opened movement or documented V4 change list.

Questions answered

Does every VSF Starbucks weigh 157.78 g?

No. That is the visible reading for the watch and fitted bracelet in this recording. Bracelet length, protective material and scale conditions must be matched before comparing another sample. It is not a published factory tolerance or an authentication test.

Does this video verify ten Glidelock positions?

No. The ten-click passage shows bezel rotation despite the English caption naming Glidelock. A separate extension-adjustment and locking demonstration would be needed to assess the bracelet mechanism.
