Detailed review
What this Panda measurement review adds
In this review, I put the white-dial Panda Daytona I identify as VS Factory with Dandong 4131 on a scale, then check its bezel and side profile with a digital caliper. The useful addition is a traceable measurement sequence: the instrument displays, my spoken figures and the way I position the watch can be examined together.
If you are comparing a similar Panda, message me through the WhatsApp button on this page. I can help you check whether your measurement setup is actually comparable to mine.
What the recording establishes
- The assembled watch shows a white dial with dark counter rings, a black tachymeter bezel with a metallic surround and an Oyster-style three-piece-link bracelet. Its visible design corresponds to the Daytona 126500LN; I do not authenticate an engraved reference here.
- At 1:27 the scale displays 142.44g; at 1:31 it displays 142.48g. My spoken figure is 142.4g. These are separate records of the same weighing sequence, not a factory tolerance or a certified measurement interval.
- At 1:58 the caliper displays 38.8mm across the bezel area. At 2:26 it displays 12.1mm during the thickness check.
- I identify VS Factory / VSF and Dandong 4131 / DD4131 in the introduction. The caseback stays closed, so neither identification is independently established by an internal inspection in this film. No numbered factory version is established.
Weight: retain the display as well as the spoken figure
At 1:13–1:34, I prepare the scale and place the watch on its platform with bracelet and clasp attached. Protective film and a dial sticker are visible. This is an assembled-watch check, not a separate measurement of the head, bracelet or caseback.
The small change between the two saved scale views matters when interpreting a number to two decimal places. I say 142.4g in the recording, while the display shows additional digits and changes slightly. I would describe this as approximately 142.4–142.5g in the filmed setup, retaining the exact displayed readings above for traceability. I would not promise hundredth-of-a-gram accuracy: the recording does not document calibration, fitted link count or the mass of the protective material.
For a useful comparison, I would ask for the bracelet configuration and fitted link count, whether film remains attached, and an unobstructed view of the watch resting on a zeroed scale. A matching total alone does not establish where the mass sits or what the internal parts are made from.
Bezel width and thickness: the contact points matter
At 1:46–2:11, I show the digital caliper and measure across the bezel. Although the subtitle calls it a vernier caliper, the instrument has a digital display. The clear 1:58 view reads 38.8mm. I explicitly describe the bezel position; this should not be relabelled as a standardized case-body diameter or used to resolve a nominal reference dimension.
At 2:12–2:34, I turn the watch sideways and reposition the jaws for thickness. The 2:26 display reads 12.1mm, matching the figure I repeat aloud. Other values appear while the jaws move, so an isolated display without its surrounding action could be misleading. The saved frame records the shown contact arrangement; controlled contact pressure, calibration and repeated measurements are not documented. Film and the raised crystal edge also make it important to specify exactly where the jaws touch.
At 3:08–3:26, I point out the slightly raised, chamfered crystal edge. That side view supports the profile observation. My description of the crystal as sapphire remains an attribution, not a material test. The earlier Panda dial texture and crystal-profile review covers that visual detail more fully.
How this adds to my other Daytona evidence
This recording supplies Panda measurement footage rather than another general factory comparison. The separate black-dial Daytona measurement review records another filmed configuration. I have not standardized bracelet length, film or instrument contact across the two recordings, so small numerical differences cannot establish a Panda-versus-black-dial construction change, factory revision or added-weight version.
For exterior identification details, my Panda rehaut, dial-lettering and M5X inspection addresses a different question. The physical identity of the watch across these Panda recordings is not independently established; separate footage should not automatically be counted as several independent watches.
In my commentary I present dimensions as useful identification details. Their practical role is a consistency check alongside other evidence, not standalone authentication. A Reddit Panda discussion includes differing owner impressions of bracelet feel despite discussion of overall weight. Those are community reports, not verified construction findings. They reinforce the buyer question: what does a total actually tell us about the individual components? This recording does not disassemble or weigh them separately.

Strengths
Traceable Panda scale and caliper evidence with separate display values, spoken attribution and contact-position limits.
What to watch for
Calibration, link count, film mass and controlled measuring pressure unrecorded. Closed caseback; no chronograph, timegrapher, reserve or pressure test. No new factory generation or controlled black-dial comparison.
Movement summary
Dandong 4131 / DD4131 — spoken attribution; closed caseback
Questions answered
Can 142.4g and 12.1mm prove that my watch is VSF with DD4131?
No. They describe this filmed setup, subject to the display and contact limitations above. A similar exterior or assembled weight cannot verify an internal movement or manufacturing origin. This video contains no opened-movement inspection, timegrapher result or chronograph performance test.
Does this show a new or weighted Panda version?
No weighting structure or factory generation is demonstrated. The folder suffix is not version evidence. I would need separate construction evidence before attributing a weight difference to a particular component or version.
