Detailed review
What this marking inspection adds
In this review, I move from the Panda Daytona's overall finish to the smaller markings I inspect: the rehaut, the printed dial lettering and the inside of the clasp. The useful addition is a close-up inspection sequence, including a clearly visible M5X marking. These details help document the watch in front of me; they do not independently authenticate its factory or movement.
If you are trying to compare these markings with your own Panda, message me through the WhatsApp button on this page. I can help you separate what your photographs actually show from what still needs checking.
What this recording establishes
I identify the watch as VS Factory with a Dandong 4131 movement in the introduction. Its white Panda dial, contrasting dark counter rings, black tachymeter bezel with a metallic surround and Oyster-style three-piece-link bracelet visually correspond to the Daytona 126500LN design.
The caseback stays closed. My VSF and DD4131 identification is therefore an attribution in this recording, not an internal movement examination. There is no verified factory generation or batch here, and the material-folder number does not establish one.
The key distinction is between three kinds of evidence: the M5X characters are readable in the clasp close-up; the rehaut fragments are what I report while pointing at the engraving; the flat-top A and short middle arm of E are the letter-form details I discuss during inspection. None is a substitute for documented provenance or movement evidence.
Rehaut: the reported fragments and the limits of the view
At 01:30–02:00, I tilt the watch and point toward the engraving around the six-o'clock inner ring. In the narration, I describe a marking beginning with 6X and ending with 093.
I retain those as reported fragments from this sample. Reflections, the angle and the pointer prevent me from presenting the complete sequence as independently transcribed from the published close-up. I do not reconstruct the intervening characters or turn these fragments into a universal VSF serial pattern.
For a useful comparison, I would ask for a sharply focused photograph of the same rehaut area with the pointer removed and glare controlled. A partial prefix is a reason to look more closely, not a complete factory-identification result.
Dial lettering and clasp engraving are separate checks
At 02:00–02:24, I bring the dial closer and point at its printed text while describing flat-top A forms. This is a dial-lettering inspection. It should not be confused with the metal engraving inside the clasp shown next.
At 02:24–03:00, I open the clasp and inspect the GENEVA and SWISS MADE lettering. I describe a flat-topped A and an E whose middle horizontal arm is shorter. The close-up records the letter forms I am discussing, but it is not a measured font analysis or proof that the typography is exclusive to one factory.
One detail I look for when comparing photographs is whether the same surface is being compared at a similar angle. Reflections on brushed metal can change the apparent thickness of an engraved stroke. A blurred dial photograph and a sharp clasp photograph cannot support the same level of judgment.
M5X: a visible marking, not a movement certificate
At 03:08, the opened clasp shows M5X beside STEELINOX. The supplied English subtitle renders the surrounding phrase as “3MU, 5X”; the visible marking supports M5X, so that is the transcription I use for this inspection. The original video and supplied subtitle file remain unchanged.
M5X also appears in my earlier Panda exterior inspection. This recording adds closer lettering and marking evidence; it does not establish a different clasp revision or an independently identified second watch.
Community discussions about serial numbers and clasp codes show why owners ask these questions, including reports of M5X on watches described as VSF Daytona examples. Those reports are community context, not a verified factory register. I would not infer Dandong 4131 internals from a clasp code. For that separate question, use the DD4131 movement information and the opened-movement Daytona inspection, keeping each recording's sample boundaries intact.

Strengths
Separate dial and clasp lettering views, readable M5X and a traceable rehaut inspection with explicit transcription limits.
What to watch for
No complete rehaut transcription, opened movement, confirmed batch, calibrated typography measurement, chronograph test, scale or timegrapher. Reflections, film and pointer partly obscure details.
Movement summary
Dandong4131 / DD4131 — spoken attribution; closed caseback
Questions answered
Does matching M5X and the reported rehaut fragments prove VSF origin?
No. This recording documents a visible M5X marking and the rehaut fragments I report. Matching them is a supporting comparison only; it does not establish factory provenance, a production batch or the movement fitted inside a closed case.
What should I send for a lettering check?
Send a focused dial photograph, a glare-controlled view of the six-o'clock rehaut and clear photographs of both engraved areas inside the opened clasp. Keep the markings in focus and identify which images belong to the same watch. If movement identity is the question, exterior photographs alone leave that question unresolved.

Current status
Observed markings, professional letter-form interpretation, spoken serial fragments and community reports remain separate.
