My VSF Panda Daytona: Chronograph Check and the 144 g Weight Claim
I test a labelled VSF Panda Daytona chronograph, inspect M5X and weigh the watch, separating the 144 g claim from unverified free-sprung and upgrade claims.

Detailed review
A labelled sample put through an operating check
I inspect a white-dial VSF-attributed Panda Daytona carrying a yellow Chinese free-sprung label, operate its chronograph and put the assembled watch on a scale. This recording adds a functional check and a weighing sequence to my earlier sticker and opened-movement comparisons. It does not expose the movement or prove that the balance is genuinely free-sprung.
If you have a similarly labelled Panda, message me on WhatsApp through the existing page button. I can help you distinguish what a short function video establishes from what still needs an internal inspection.
The short chronograph check
At roughly 4:15–5:00, I manipulate the crown and then demonstrate the upper start/stop pusher and lower reset pusher. The central chronograph hand changes position during the sequence and returns toward its reset position. This is useful operating evidence from the filmed watch, rather than an inference from a still photograph.
I would keep the conclusion narrow: the recording shows a brief control sequence. It does not establish minute- or hour-counter accuracy, long-term reliability, repeated-cycle endurance or a measured reset-alignment tolerance. Reflections, changing camera angles and the lower-dial sticker also limit close inspection. For your own sample, I recommend a steady, unobstructed start, stop and reset video in which the central hand and both elapsed-time counters remain visible.
A relevant Panda QC discussion treats central-hand and counter alignment at reset as separate checks. That is useful buyer-question context; its contributors' assessment of another watch does not validate mine.
What the weighing sequence actually supports
Around 5:08–5:17, I place the watch on a digital scale with its bracelet and clasp attached. The display changes as the watch settles and is then lifted. Near 5:15–5:16 it is around 144 g, but the burned-in subtitle crosses the display. I am not publishing a hundredth-of-a-gram reading from partly obscured digits. My spoken conclusion is 144 grams.
This is the mass of the shown assembled configuration, with protective film still present. The fitted link count, film mass and calibration are not documented. My comment that it is slightly heavier than the previous version is an experience-based comparison, not a controlled before-and-after test in this recording.
My earlier Panda weighing review records a different weighing sequence. Those recordings should not be subtracted to invent a movement-weight change: matched bracelet length, identical accessories and continuity of the physical samples have not been established. This video also does not identify an added weight, different alloy or location of any extra mass.
The label and M5X marking are exterior clues
The white dial, dark counter rings, black tachymeter bezel with a metallic surround and Oyster-style bracelet correspond visually to the Daytona 126500LN design. I identify the watch as VS Factory with Dandong DD4131; the case remains closed throughout.
At approximately 3:08, the pointer indicates a yellow label on the dial-side protective film. Although the English subtitle calls it a caseback sticker, that is not where the label appears in this shot. I describe its Chinese wording as free-sprung and contrast it with the earlier red A label. The clasp close-up around 4:03 shows M5X beside STEELINOX. Neither a removable label nor a clasp code proves the regulating architecture or factory origin.
For internal views, see my paired opened-movement comparison. It explains why visible balance-area layouts also require careful interpretation. My broad narration about factories transitioning their ranges is not a verified rollout schedule, and this sample cannot establish such a change across other models.
Finish and testing limits
I point out subdial snailing, polished hands and hour markers, and describe the exterior as essentially unchanged from earlier examples. These are my visual and handling assessments. No matched dimensional comparison or material assay establishes identical construction, sapphire or a particular steel grade here.
I also make a spoken water-resistance assurance. No pressure test is shown, so this review provides no measured water-resistance result. The chronograph demonstration, weighing sequence and exterior inspection each answer a limited question; none substitutes for that missing test.

Strengths
Short chronograph operation, assembled weighing context, dial-side label and readable M5X marking.
What to watch for
Closed case; no free-sprung verification, controlled weight increase, pressure test or long-term chronograph result. Scale decimal digits partly obscured.
Movement summary
Dandong 4131 / DD4131 — author attribution, case closed; free-sprung architecture unverified
Questions answered
Does this video verify a free-sprung DD4131?
No. It records my movement attribution, a free-sprung label and external operation with the case closed. It does not show the balance or its regulating mechanism.
Is 144 g a specification for every VSF Panda Daytona?
No. It is my reported result for the assembled watch in this recording, consistent with an approximately 144 g display. Link count, protective film and calibration are not controlled, and the decimal digits are partly obscured.

Current status
Sample observations, author attributions and community questions remain separate.
Contact me on WhatsApp with a clear chronograph sequence, your fitted bracelet configuration and an unobstructed scale display. I can help you compare those observations with this sample without treating a label or a single weight reading as proof of a movement upgrade.
