|---|---|---|---|---|
| review.finish | Close views record polished hands, dark subdial rings and rounded marker appearance. I discuss concentric snailing and finishing quality; film and reflections limit detail. No defect-free or identical-parts conclusion. | OBSERVED | CONFIRMED | VIDEO_AND_TRANSCRIPT |
| review.upgrade | I call the left watch free-sprung and the right A-marked watch older index-regulated DD4131. This is recorded expert attribution; closed cases, no verified numbered version, batch or factory-wide chronology. | REPORTED | CONFIRMED | VIDEO_AND_TRANSCRIPT |
| review.identity | I identify both watches as VSF Panda with DD4131. Visible white dials, dark counter rings, metallic-surrounded black bezels and Oyster-style bracelets correspond to126500LN design; no authenticated engraving or open movement. | REPORTED | CONFIRMED | VIDEO_AND_TRANSCRIPT |
| review.labels | A red A is visible on the right watch protective film and a yellow label on the left. I describe the latter as indicating free-sprung. Labels are not independent movement or factory authentication. | OBSERVED | CONFIRMED | VIDEO_AND_TRANSCRIPT |
| review.boundary | I promise a later internal comparison. This recording itself does not open the watches, demonstrate rate regulation or chronograph operation, or supply physical measurements. | REPORTED | CONFIRMED | VIDEO_AND_TRANSCRIPT |
| review.exterior | Both watches appear together with broadly similar exterior configurations. I say dial, hands, bracelet material, case and bezel are unchanged; no material, dimensions or parts-equivalence tests substantiate a universal unchanged-parts claim. | REPORTED | CONFIRMED | VIDEO_AND_TRANSCRIPT |
Detailed review
Why I filmed this pair together
I put two VSF-attributed Panda Daytonas beside each other to answer a specific identification question: what does the different label tell me when the watches look so similar? One carries a red A marking on its protective film; the other has a yellow label that I describe in the recording as indicating a free-sprung movement. This is a closed-case comparison of the two filmed watches, not an inspection of their balance assemblies.
If you are checking a similar Panda, message me on WhatsApp using the existing page button. I can help you separate what a label suggests from what the actual watch still needs to demonstrate.
What I can establish from this pair
Both watches have white dials, dark subdial rings, black tachymeter bezels with metallic outer surrounds, and Oyster-style three-piece-link bracelets. Their visible design corresponds to the Daytona 126500LN configuration. That is a design identification, not a reading of an authenticated reference engraving.
At 0:44–0:51, I point out the contrasting labels. At 1:09–1:46, I identify both as VS Factory watches with Dandong DD4131 movements, describing the left-hand example as free-sprung and the right-hand A-marked example as the older index-regulated arrangement. These are my recorded identifications. Neither caseback is opened in this footage.
The key takeaways are therefore limited and useful: the labels differ on this pair; I attribute different regulating arrangements to them; the recording does not mechanically confirm those arrangements. It supplies no numbered factory version, authenticated batch or dated production change.
Similar exteriors do not settle the movement question
At 3:32–3:58, I explain that the change concerns the movement rather than the dial, hands, bracelet material, case or bezel. The side-by-side footage supports broad visual similarity. My statement about unchanged components is professional commentary; this review does not include a material assay, dimensional comparison or parts-interchangeability test.
In the closer views around 4:28–5:03, I draw attention to the hands, concentric subdial snailing, printing and rounded hour-marker finishing. I like the finish visible on the left-hand example. Protective film, reflections and the changing angle limit fine comparisons, so I would not turn that impression into a claim of defect-free finishing or identical parts.
The useful addition to my earlier Panda dial-texture and crystal-profile review is the two-watch context: an outwardly similar Panda can carry a different movement description. The label does not let me verify the mechanism through a closed case.
What I would ask to see before accepting the label
I would first ask for clear pictures of the exact watch, then an unobstructed movement view that explains how its rate is regulated. A removable sticker is a starting point for a question, not proof of factory origin or balance architecture. The A marking here should not be treated as a permanent serial identifier or a universal rule for every VSF batch.
My separate opened Panda movement inspection records balance-area evidence and its limitations. It does not establish that either watch in this pair is the same physical sample. These recordings also do not establish a complete factory revision timeline.
A relevant DD4131 community discussion questions the difference between a free-sprung appearance and the actual regulating mechanism. I use that as a useful inspection question, not as verified teardown evidence for these two watches. My spoken comparison with the genuine balance should likewise not be read as proof of mechanical equivalence.
There is no chronograph start/stop/reset test, timegrapher result, power-reserve run or weighing sequence here. The recording promises a later internal comparison; that promised examination is not evidence already demonstrated in this video.

Strengths
Two-watch label and exterior comparison with traceable timestamps and author-attribution boundaries.
What to watch for
Closed cases, protective film and reflections. No mechanical regulation verification, material test, measurements or chronograph operation. Labels do not prove factory origin or a universal version sequence.

Questions answered
Does the free-sprung label prove what is inside?
No. I identify it that way in the recording, but this is a closed-case comparison. Confirming the regulating system requires suitable movement evidence from the particular watch.
Does the A marking mean the watch is not VSF?
I identify both filmed examples as VSF with DD4131. The A marking alone cannot authenticate or disprove that attribution, and this pair does not establish a rule covering every batch.

Daytona 126500LN: Panda and Black-Dial Review Context
Newer ceramic-bezel Daytona design; white Panda and black dials.
Current status
Sample observations, author identifications and community questions remain separate. Historical evidence preserved.
