Detailed review
What this opened inspection adds
In this review, I turn my Bruce Wayne over with the caseback already removed, weigh the detached back and inspect the exposed movement. This adds something my recent exterior inspections could not show: the balance area, rotor bearing, movement markings and a dark-red wheel in the same recording.
If you are trying to interpret similar movement photographs, message me through the existing WhatsApp button. I can help you compare the visible details and identify what still needs a closer inspection.
What this opened sample establishes
The grey-and-black bezel, black dial, green GMT hand and Jubilee-style bracelet correspond to the GMT-Master II 126710GRNR Bruce Wayne design. I introduce it as VS Factory, or VSF, with a Dandong DD3285 movement. The reference is a design correspondence; factory origin and movement supplier remain my identification, not independently authenticated provenance.
The useful findings are:
- The caseback is already off when I introduce the inspection. The recording does not demonstrate unscrewing it.
- At 1:12, the scale displays 9.07 g for the detached caseback, while I describe it as approximately 9 grams.
- The close-ups show the balance area, central rotor bearing, boxed 3285 marking, 27 JEWELS lettering and a dark-red wheel beside gold-coloured gearing.
- I describe a single-stud change and a free-sprung version, but do not dismantle the balance or demonstrate its regulating mechanism.
Neither the recording date nor a numbered factory version is established. My description of a new release is relative to when I filmed it, not a claim that this is the latest production configuration.
The detached caseback reads 9.07 g
From 0:54 to 1:14, I prepare the scale, zero it and place the detached caseback on the platform. The display shows 0.00 before loading and 9.07 g at 1:12, with no hand touching the scale in that frame. The upper edge of the caseback is partly outside the frame. A later reading changes while I handle it; I do not treat that transient value as another measurement.
This is a displayed result for this caseback under the recorded conditions. There is no calibration certificate or repeatability study, and the reading does not identify the alloy, factory or production batch. It is also a different measurement from the assembled-watch weight in my Bruce Wayne dimension and weight review.
What I point to around the balance
At 1:45–1:54, I point to the balance area and call the change a “single stud.” The close-up preserves the visible arrangement I am discussing. It does not show a controlled before-and-after comparison with the earlier construction.
I also describe the movement as free-sprung. That identification needs a narrower conclusion than the narration alone suggests: seeing one prominent fitting is not a complete inspection of how the oscillator is regulated. I do not remove the bridge, inspect concealed components or demonstrate rate adjustment here.
For a genuine-movement reference, Rolex describes calibre 3285 as using a variable-inertia balance adjusted through Microstella nuts. That describes Rolex's own mechanism; it does not establish the construction of the replica sample in my video.
A DD3285 free-sprung discussion includes community claims that an adjustment lever can be concealed. Those comments explain why buyers ask for more than a top-down photograph. I have not verified that concealed arrangement in this sample, so I retain both my original attribution and its inspection limits.
Markings, rotor and coloured components
At 1:54–2:00, I describe a movement serial beginning with ES and ending in 9110. The ending is clearer than the prefix in the close-up. I retain ES as my spoken reading rather than reconstruct a fully verified serial string. A matching engraving would not independently establish factory origin.
The following views show gold-coloured engraving and the boxed 3285 marking. I call the lettering gold-filled in the narration, but the recording establishes colour and appearance, not the composition of the fill.
The subtitle's phrase “27-jewel ball-bearing rotor” combines two different details. The visible 27 JEWELS lettering and the rotor's central bearing should be recorded separately. I do not count the movement's internal jewels or the bearing's individual balls, and this wording should not become a verified 27-ball specification.
At 3:07–3:17, I point out the dark-red wheel beside gold-coloured gearing. It is a useful visual comparison point, also discussed in my earlier opened DD3285 inspection. Its colour alone does not prove material, manufacturer or interchangeability.
How this extends the earlier Bruce Wayne evidence
My earlier free-sprung claim and clasp review recorded the attribution with the movement concealed. Here I add an exposed view and the caseback measurement. At 3:33–3:51, I also show the small yellow sticker discussed in my Wu Ka Du sticker inspection, now alongside the opened movement. The label still cannot substitute for inspecting the mechanism.
This does not establish a new factory generation or prove that these recordings feature different physical watches. The evidence is complementary: exterior identification, assembled dimensions, and now an opened-movement inspection. There is no timegrapher result, timed power-reserve run, water-resistance test or GMT-setting demonstration in this episode.
Sources & provenance
Strengths
Opened movement close-ups and a detached-caseback scale reading provide traceable sample evidence.
What to watch for
No complete regulating-mechanism inspection, verified supplier provenance, calibrated mass study, reserve run, pressure test or timegrapher result.

Questions answered
Does this close-up confirm a genuinely free-sprung DD3285?
It records the balance area I describe as single-stud and free-sprung. It does not independently resolve the complete regulating arrangement. A structural conclusion needs more than the sticker or the number of prominent fittings visible from above.
Can the 9.07 g caseback or ES serial authenticate VSF?
Neither is sufficient alone. The weight belongs to this recorded caseback, and the ES prefix is my spoken reading with limited visual confirmation. I use these as inspection details, not a universal factory specification or authentication certificate.
