Detailed review
Review scope and strongest evidence
This VSF Pepsi review offers more than a factory preference: it includes a UV bezel demonstration, an exposed movement, a caliper check and independent local-hour/date setting. The most defensible conclusion is that the reviewer finds this VS sample competitive with Clean, preferring its bezel action while giving Clean a small edge in clasp finishing. Neither preference establishes a universal winner.
Identification and key takeaways
The reviewed configuration is a black-dial, red-and-blue GMT with a red 24-hour hand and a Jubilee-style bracelet, corresponding to the Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLRO design. Two red/blue watches appear in the recording; their presence does not by itself establish the origin of every comparison component. These are replica samples, not genuine Rolex watches.
- Factory: the reviewer explicitly identifies VS Factory, conventionally abbreviated VSF. This is source attribution, not independently audited manufacturing provenance.
- Movement: the reviewer identifies the exposed movement as Dandong 3285, or DD3285. That identification comes from this review, independently of our earlier Clean review.
- Version: V3 describes the bezel insert in the narration. It does not establish an exact whole-watch batch, production date or current latest version.
- Thickness: the on-camera caliper sequence is around 12.0–12.1 mm. It is one sample check, not a tolerance specification for all VSF watches.
- Comparison: the reviewer prefers VS bezel detent feel and slightly prefers Clean clasp chamfering/polishing. He considers the overall differences small.
The supplied TXT calls this configuration “Coke,” but it also explicitly says the insert is red and blue; the footage and opening on-screen English caption support Pepsi. The reference identifies the corresponding Rolex design; it is not a claim that an engraving has been independently authenticated. Genuine-watch materials, certification and water-resistance specifications are not transferred to the reviewed replicas.
What the V3 bezel and UV demonstration show
At 00:48–01:18, the reviewer calls the red/blue insert V3, brings the watches close to the camera and applies UV light. The normally blue upper section develops a reddish appearance under the light. He describes the effect as corresponding to the genuine version and says Clean uses the same V3 insert.
The observed result is the colour response of the shown insert under those recording conditions. The footage does not establish identical ceramic chemistry, a common supplier or an exact colour match to a genuine insert. UV wavelength, exposure and camera colour processing are not controlled or documented here. A positive response is therefore a useful inspection point, not a factory-authentication test.
Version names can also refer to different things. A June 2025 VSF discussion uses V1/V2/V3 terminology for Pepsi bezel iterations, while participants discuss the movement and crystal separately. That explains a common search ambiguity; it is not a formal factory version register. For an offer labelled “VSF V3,” ask which insert, movement and bracelet are actually included.
DD3285: exposed movement and practical GMT operation
The movement is shown with the caseback removed at approximately 01:22–01:47. The rotor, bridges and balance area are visible. The reviewer calls it Dandong 3285 and draws attention to two adjustment components near the balance. He praises the polishing, engraving and power-reserve stability. The open view documents what he inspected, but his performance assessment is not backed by a timed reserve test, timegrapher run or long-term reliability record in this video.
The more directly useful functional evidence comes at 03:46–04:22. After unscrewing the crown, he demonstrates winding and crown positions. In the local-hour setting position, the hour hand jumps while the minute hand stays in place. Forward and backward date changes are visible during the setting sequence, including a return from 16 to 14. This is a short function check, not an endurance test.
“Two full rotations” in the TXT refers to the local hour hand traversing a 24-hour cycle, not two turns of the crown. The distinction matters when interpreting a GMT setting demonstration. Rolex's own GMT-Master II explanation describes the genuine watch's independently adjustable local hour hand. Similar behaviour in this sample does not prove identical internal construction or parts interchangeability.
The opening account of an expensive, two-year Clean exclusivity arrangement ending in June remains the reviewer's supplier-history claim. No agreement or independent supplier record is provided, and no reliable recording year is established. Community posts discussing DD3285 availability show how that narrative circulated, but do not verify its contractual terms. Likewise, the passing reference to Explorer models is not used to assign a movement to another watch: those models are outside this inspection.
Crystal, Cyclops and date presentation
At 01:51–02:26, the reviewer examines the side profile, crystal, date magnifier and hands. He describes clear viewing through the crystal, a whitish reflection associated with the Cyclops anti-reflective coating, a bold and centred date, a sharp minute-hand tip and clean hand finishing. These are useful sample-level visual judgments; the review supplies no transmission measurement, coating analysis or measured magnification ratio.
This is also where community vocabulary can obscure the evidence. A June 2025 crystal comparison thread contains both praise for the VSF appearance and objections that the QC photographs are insufficient to rank the crystals. Lighting, camera angle and reflections are relevant confounders. The appropriate request is a straight-on date view plus oblique views under stated lighting, not a promise that every VSF crystal will look identical to this one.
Bezel action and the 12.0–12.1 mm thickness check
At 02:27–03:11, the reviewer rotates the bezel and prefers its distinct detents to Clean examples he has handled. He describes less rotational free play between click positions and good alignment. “Backplay” is a more precise term for that rotational looseness than implying the bezel is moving sideways across the case. The visible manipulation supports discussion of operation; tactile resistance and batch consistency remain his assessment, rather than measured quantities.
At 03:13–03:32, he measures overall watch thickness with a digital caliper. The display shows both 12.0 and 12.1 mm during the sequence as he adjusts pressure and placement. Report this as approximately 12.0–12.1 mm on the demonstrated sample. Protective film, jaw contact points, applied pressure and instrument calibration are not sufficiently documented to infer a manufacturing tolerance or a precise advantage over another factory.
The reviewer calls that thickness accurate to the genuine watch, but no controlled genuine-watch measurement is shown. A June 2025 VSF-versus-Clean discussion specifically questions thickness comparisons made from promotional material. That is a reason to request comparable measurements, not independent confirmation that either factory is thinner.
A9A clasp and the limits of the Clean comparison
The clasp segment, approximately 04:29–05:08, is unusually useful because the reviewer qualifies his overall praise. The A9A marking is visible at 04:44–04:46. He considers opening and closing satisfactory, but thinks Clean has a slight advantage in chamfering and polishing in the areas shown. He describes that difference as subtle enough that a typical wearer may not notice it.
The appropriate comparison is therefore specific: VS bezel feel versus a small Clean clasp-finishing preference, with the reviewer describing the movement and V3 insert as shared. It is not a measured declaration that every case, bracelet or internal component is identical. His reference to comparison photographs on a separate social feed does not make those absent photographs evidence supplied with this review.
A September 2025 owner comparison similarly discusses bezel feel and bracelet differences, while replies mention both A9A and F6U markings on watches described as VSF. Those reports illustrate variation in offered configurations; they do not establish supply-chain identity. A9A identifies the marking on this clasp, not a unique watch serial or a guarantee of factory origin.
At 05:32–05:39, the reviewer quotes VS as roughly RMB 100 cheaper than Clean. Treat that as his price comparison at the time of recording, not a current quote, a conversion to another currency or evidence of a permanent discount.
What to check before choosing this configuration
Request the actual offered watch's red/blue insert and Jubilee configuration, a straight-on dial/date view, and a clear movement view if DD3285 identity is material to the offer. For bezel action, ask for a short rotation/alignment demonstration; for thickness, ask for a repeated caliper reading with contact points and protective film stated. Inspect clasp edge finishing and closure separately from the clasp code.
The reviewer praises water resistance after discussing the screw-down crown, but no pressure test is shown. A closed crown alone does not establish a pressure rating. There is also no documented reserve duration or timing accuracy, so those properties require separate sample-specific evidence.
For comparison context, see our Clean GMT review, the shared 126710BLRO reference page and DD3285 evidence page. These provide separate source contexts rather than a controlled head-to-head test using identical conditions.

Strengths
First-hand UV, exposed-movement, thickness, local-hour/date and clasp evidence. The reviewer qualifies the Clean comparison rather than declaring a universal winner.
What to watch for
No timed reserve, pressure test or long-term reliability results. Factory, DD3285 and V3 terminology are attributed to the reviewer. Exact whole-watch batch is unconfirmed.
Movement summary
Opened movement identified by reviewer as DD3285; independent local-hour and forward/backward date operation shown.
Questions answered
Is this VSF watch a Coke or a Pepsi?
Pepsi. The TXT's Coke label conflicts with its own red-and-blue description and the visible bezel. The configuration corresponds to the 126710BLRO design on a Jubilee-style bracelet.
Does V3 identify the exact VSF batch?
No. The reviewer applies V3 to the bezel insert. The whole-watch batch and recording year remain unconfirmed; request the configuration of the actual offered watch.
What supports the DD3285 identification?
The movement is exposed and the reviewer explicitly identifies Dandong 3285. Independent local-hour operation and date changes are also shown. This supports an attributed identification and function check, not independent factory authentication or a parts-interchangeability claim.
Is this VSF Pepsi exactly 12.1 mm thick?
The caliper sequence is approximately 12.0–12.1 mm on the shown sample. It does not establish an exact specification or production tolerance for every VSF Pepsi.
Which is better, VSF or Clean?
This reviewer prefers VS bezel action and gives Clean a small clasp-finishing edge, while considering both closely matched overall. He supplies no controlled batch study that would establish a universal winner.
Are power reserve and water resistance verified?
No timed reserve run or pressure test is supplied. Positive comments about those properties remain the reviewer's assessment, not measured results.
