Detailed review

What the opened pair adds

I place two opened VSF-attributed Panda Daytonas together so the balance-area layouts can be compared in the same recording. I describe one as free-sprung and the other as index-regulated. The useful evidence is the visible arrangement I point to, alongside the rotor bearing and movement marking; the video does not demonstrate how either watch is actually regulated.

If you have a similar Panda movement photo, message me on WhatsApp through the existing page button. I can help you compare the visible details and identify what further evidence would resolve your question.

The paired movement view is the new evidence

Both casebacks are already off when this inspection begins. A dial-side view shows a white Panda configuration with a black tachymeter bezel, metallic bezel surround and Oyster-style bracelet, corresponding visually to the Daytona 126500LN design. I identify the watches as VS Factory with Dandong DD4131 movements. The recording does not show reference engravings or independently authenticate their manufacturing origin.

My earlier A versus free-sprung label comparison kept the cases closed. Here, the side-by-side rear view at approximately 2:29–2:49 provides the missing type of evidence: two exposed balance areas in one frame. It also adds a paired comparison to my single opened-Panda inspection. I cannot establish from these recordings alone that the watches are the same physical examples across all three reviews.

The single-arm and two-arm descriptions

At 1:19–1:28, I point to the area I call a single stud carrier. Later, I contrast that arrangement with what I call two arms—the regulator and stud carrier—and point out the neighbouring feature's position on the other movement.

These are useful visual descriptions for comparing the photographed layouts. They do not constitute a complete identification of every regulating component. The rotor remains fitted, I do not remove the balance bridge, and I do not demonstrate an adjustment through functional balance weights. An arm that is not visible in a particular view has not thereby been proved absent.

I use the term free-sprung in my narration, but I would not treat this footage as mechanical proof of that claim. A DD4131 community discussion makes the same inspection question relevant: appearance and the actual means of regulation can differ. Its servicing accounts remain community context, not a verified description of these two samples.

Three other details I point out

At 1:41–1:47, my pointer is at the central rotor bearing. The supplied English subtitle calls the number 27 “jewels.” In this visual context, I am discussing the rotor-bearing area; that line should not be presented as the entire movement's jewel count. The exact bearing-element count is not independently established by this recording, and no bearing is dismantled or counted on camera.

Around 1:51–2:00, the 4131 marking becomes visible as the rotor changes position. I describe it as deeply engraved with gold-coloured filling. The visible marking supports that appearance description, but the footage does not measure engraving depth or establish the filling material. A calibre marking alone also cannot authenticate a movement supplier.

At 2:04–2:09, I point to a purplish-red component visible near the movement perimeter. Its colour is a recorded visual cue under this lighting. I do not identify its composition, prove that the colour is exclusive to Dandong, or use it alone to decide the movement's origin.

How I would use this comparison

I would compare the whole visible layout, the bearing area and markings together, then ask for a clear explanation of the actual regulating mechanism. The paired view improves on a sticker-only judgment, but it is still an inspection record rather than a complete authentication method.

There is no timegrapher result, chronograph start/stop/reset sequence, reserve test or physical measurement here. The casebacks are already removed; an opening procedure is not demonstrated. No numbered factory version, manufacturing date or universal upgrade sequence is established.

Strengths

Paired opened balance-area views, rotor-bearing location, visible4131 marking and traceable sample-specific interpretation.

What to watch for

Rotors installed; no bridge removal or regulating-system demonstration. Subtitle27 jewels is not a verified total jewel count. No measured accuracy, reserve or chronograph performance.

Questions answered

Does one visible arm prove a free-sprung DD4131?

No. I use that description in the recording, but the view does not expose and demonstrate the complete regulating system. The side-by-side footage supports a visible layout comparison, with that limitation retained.

Does the subtitle establish a 27-jewel movement?

No. The pointer is at the rotor bearing, and the recording does not establish a total movement jewel count or independently count the bearing elements.
