VSF Batman Clasp Engravings: 1NQ, Letter Shapes and Rehaut Claims

I inspect a VSF Batman clasp: visible 1NQ versus the ENQ subtitle, letter-shape cues and a spoken 6X/6E rehaut pattern, with clear identification limits.

Detailed review

The clasp marking and the subtitle correction

In this review, I open the clasp of a VSF-attributed Batman on an Oyster-style bracelet and examine the engraving details I use when comparing samples. The clearest correction is the clasp code: the original close-up reads 1NQ, although the English subtitle later says “ENQ”. I also explain the letter shapes I look for and report a rehaut-code pattern, with different levels of visual support for each.

If you are checking a Batman clasp, contact me through the existing WhatsApp button with a sharp photograph of both engraved surfaces. I can help you distinguish a readable marking from a factory claim that still needs supporting evidence.

What I can read on this clasp

The open-clasp sequence shows two useful areas. One carries the coronet and decorative ROLEX engraving beside GENEVA and SWISS MADE. The other carries STEELINOX and the short clasp code. At 02:25, that code reads 1NQ. The subtitle's “ENQ” wording at 02:29–02:48 does not match this clearer view; I use the visible reading in this article while preserving the original recording unchanged.

From about 01:30, I point out an A that I describe as flat-topped. I then discuss an E with a slightly shorter middle horizontal stroke and return to another A. The close-up around 01:59 preserves the lettering for comparison. These are my practical inspection cues, not a dimensional font study: lighting, angle, focus and reflections affect how the ends of an engraved stroke appear.

The useful approach is to inspect the complete engraving layout alongside the individual characters. A three-character code by itself leaves out much of what this video actually shows. Equally, recognising a letter shape does not independently establish who made the clasp or which movement sits inside the watch.

The rehaut claim has a different evidence limit

At 03:08–03:15, I describe the rehaut engraving as starting with 6X and ending with 6E. The watch is shown and indicated during this passage, but the engraving is not clear enough in the available view for a reliable independent transcription. I therefore retain 6X…6E as my spoken report, without filling in the middle characters or presenting it as a verified full serial.

My original commentary also calls the clasp tooling exclusive to VS and says it cannot be copied. That is stronger than this recording establishes. There is no tooling documentation or controlled comparison here that proves exclusivity or resistance to copying. My practical advice is to use these details together with the sample's configuration and provenance, never as an authentication guarantee.

A RepTime identification discussion illustrates why this question arises: owners compare rehaut patterns and clasp codes while disagreeing about factory attribution. Those comments provide buyer context, not an authoritative serial registry or confirmation of the watch in my video.

Configuration and what this adds to the series

The blue/black bezel and Oyster-style three-piece-link bracelet are the Batman configuration, visually corresponding to the 126710BLNR design. I identify it as VS Factory and refer to Dandong 3285, commonly written DD3285, in the introduction. This episode does not open the caseback or inspect the movement, so that remains my attribution rather than a fresh mechanical identification.

This engraving inspection complements my #013 weight and dimension measurements and my #014 bezel-handling review. It does not establish a different movement, generation or batch. The source-folder suffix “3” is unexplained, as are “4” and “5” in the adjacent material. I cannot establish from those labels that the recordings show either different versions or the same physical watch.

Strengths

Clear original clasp close-ups preserve lettering and the 1NQ marking; narration is separated from what can be read.

What to watch for

No proven exclusive tooling, copy resistance, factory generation or movement origin. The spoken 6X/6E rehaut pattern is not an independently read complete serial.

Movement summary

Dandong 3285 / DD3285 — spoken attribution, no caseback opening

Questions answered

Is this clasp marked ENQ or 1NQ?

The clear close-up at 02:25 reads 1NQ. ENQ is the conflicting English subtitle rendering later in the sequence; it is not the marking I adopt for this sample.

Can these engravings confirm VSF or DD3285?

They document the clasp and my identification method, but do not independently prove factory origin or the installed calibre. The rehaut pattern is a spoken report here, and the movement remains unopened. A factory claim should be assessed using multiple relevant pieces of evidence from the actual watch.
